Monday night in Philadelphia, Alex Edler of the Vancouver Canucks suffered a scary injury as a result of getting twisted up and landing face-first on the ice.

Edler was down on the ice for quite some time and eventually was stretchered off the ice.  While he was down and being attended to, two of his teammates, Elias Pettersson and Jacob Markstrom, noticed some people sitting behind the glass taking pictures of what was happening and got them to stop.

Both Pettersson and Markstrom were just looking out for their teammate.  We wish Edler a speedy recovery and hope to see him back on the ice as soon as possible.

@canucks defenceman Alex Edler will not travel to Washington with the team after suffering a horrific face injury.
