Phil Kessel has never been a player known best for his physical play on the ice.  He's always been known as a goalscorer with a wicked shot and once again, he's off to another strong start to a season with 19 points (8 goals) in 16 games.

Tuesday night, Kessel tallied a goal and an assist in the Penguins' loss to the Devils, but the hockey world didn't care about the points the 31-year-old recorded.  Instead, they were far more enamoured with his "fight."

Phil the Thrill half dropped the gloves with Brett Seney and the hockey world absolutely loved every second of the short-lived exchanged.

The reason why we put fight in quotations earlier is because it actually wasn't ruled a fight as both players received roughing penalties (Kessel got an extra minor).

That ruling also robbed the hockey world of what would have been the first Gordie Howe hat trick of the season.
