The offseason is the perfect time for NHL players to get away from the rink and do things they can't do during the regular season like get married, for example.

We've already seen a number of players take to social media to share pictures from their beautiful day and Phillip Danault will be the next player to do so as he'll be getting married this coming weekend.

He also just signed a three-year extension with the Habs and as he explained, it couldn't have come at a better time (as per Montreal's website):

"That's why I wanted to avoid arbitration," said Danault with a laugh during a conference call with members of the media on Monday afternoon. "It was kind of close to the wedding, but we're done now. I'm really happy to be here for three more years. I love Montreal."

The #Canadiens and #PhillipDanault agree to terms on a 3-yr deal. Thoughts? 🤔

Danault's arbitration hearing would have been Friday in Toronto, so the hearing didn't really fit in his schedule.  Luckily he and the Canadiens were able to agree on an extension beforehand.

Now he can focus all of his attention on what should be the most magical day of his and his fiancee's life.

Trois années de plus Montréal!! Three more years Montreal!! 🔵⚪️🔴
