The Vegas Golden Knights have been one of the best teams in the NHL all year long and the franchise’s early success has gained them plenty of fans along the way.

Vegas made its lone visit to Detroit on Thursday night to play the Red Wings and there were plenty of grey, black, gold and red jerseys in the building despite both cities being more than 3,200 kilometres apart.

The Golden Knights picked up a 4-0 victory for their 43rd win of the season and one fan went home with an extra large smile on his face courtesy of left winger Pierre-Edouard Bellemare.

That’s definitely a moment the youngster will remember for the rest of his life.
