There are going to be a lot of happy fans if things play out the right was at UFC 230.
All eyes will be on Derrick Lewis and heavyweight champ Daniel Cormier when the two square of on Saturday night at Madison Square Garden and you can bet a lot of fans will be rooting for the former. Why? Well, there’s a lot on the line.
A Houston Popeyes will be offering free food this Sunday from 2-4 PM if Lewis can come away with a victory. The reasoning stems from Cormier ‘disrespecting’ their chicken in a funny music video. The specific restaurant near Lewis’ home in the area.
Not a bad look for Derrick either!
While Popeyes is making noise for all of the right reasons, Arby’s more recently made it for well… a little more embarrassing one. The chain was forced to change a promotion for Detroit Red Wings fans from receiving curly fries for a player scoring a hat-trick to the team scoring just three goals in a single game. Oh, how times have changed in Detroit!
Cormier is the favourite heading into the fight but hey, at least Lewis has a bit of extra incentive to pull off the upset.
