When you think of basketball shoes the first two brands that most likely come to mind right away are Nike and Adidas, and rightfully so. However, Puma is looking to change the game with their recent signings.

After naming Jay-Z as the new president of Puma Basketball, the company followed up the announcement with the signings of DeAndre Ayton, Marvin Bagley III, Zhaire Smith and Michael Porter Jr., all prospects expected to go in the first round of this year’s NBA draft. With the roster starting to build up and the draft right around the corner, Puma took advantage of the timing and introduced the first of many new basketball shoes.

Known as the Puma Clyde Court Disrupt, the new basketball shoes were inspired by Knicks legend Walt “Clyde” Frazier, who was recently given a lifetime contract with the brand.

The shoes will be available starting October 1, so expect to see their newly signed prospects rocking them on the court with their new teams when the start of the 2018-19 NBA season arrives.
