Andrei Vasilevskiy has been one of the best goalies in the NHL this season. The 23-year-old leads the league in wins with 41 heading into Tuesday’s action and sits second in shutouts with seven.

While the Tyumen, Russia native has been solid all year long for the Tampa Bay Lightning, one of his most impressive highlights of the season came against the Los Angeles Kings on February 10, 2018, when he completely robbed Anze Kopitar with a behind-the-back save. Since then, we’ve seen Vasilevskiy replicate the exact same save and now goalies around the world are trying to do the same.

Blainville-Boisbriand Armada and Rimouski Oceanic closed out the QMJHL regular season on Sunday night and the two teams needed a shootout to decide the winner. With the game on the line, Armada’s goalie Gabriel Waked came up with a game-saving stop by doing his best Andrei Vasilevskiy impression.

The save was a massive one by Waked as his team went on to win the game 2-1 to wrap up the regular season on a high note.

He’s one of a few goalies who have managed to pull off this move in recent weeks and it’s one that even Vasilevskiy himself would be proud of.
