Friday was a very special night for the AHL’s San Antonio Rampage as they hosted their 8th annual Pink In The Rink Night as a way to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer research.

Most times when a sports franchise hosts some sort of cancer awareness night it means they rock some custom jerseys for the event, and that’s exactly what the Rampage did for their contest against the Texas Stars.

The Colorado Avalanche’s AHL affiliate didn’t stop at the pink jerseys, though. They took things one step further and painted the entire ice surface pink for the special night.

When the remodeling was all said and done the final product looked awesome, and it looked even better during the game.

As the members of the Rampage were introduced before the game, they took to the ice with a special guest on their right hand side as the players were joined by members of the Breast Cancer Warriors.

It’s always awesome to see teams go all out for a good cause and this is one we’ll never get tired of.
