In his first and potential only season in Toronto, Kawhi Leonard is an NBA all-star in what has turned into an MVP-worthy campaign to date.

Sitting second in the Eastern Conference and overall league standings at the all-star break, the addition of Leonard has solidified the Raptors as one of the best teams in basketball.

Since he was acquired from the Spurs in the off-season, the question still remains the same: will Leonard re-sign with the Raptors or explore free agency this summer?

Out on the court, there's only a handful of teams that can compete with Toronto, but away from it, there's various that could contribute into Leonard ultimately leaving or staying. One of those potential factors is the weather. Most Torontonians will tell you they despise what's in mother nature's forecast come the winter, and Kawhi echoes those same thoughts.

"It’s just been cold. But, you know, the snow does look nice on days but you just need a jacket to go outside. I’m not used to wearing boots and everything. But as far as the whole city, team, coaching staff, organization, the fans…it’s been great.”

Spoken like a true Torontonian, right?

The discourse around Leonard is that he often provides robotic answers and doesn't show much personality during interviews, but if that clip proved anything, he's just a regular human that would prefer to stay warm.

It's dangerous to assign how much of a factor the weather is in certain cities when trying to predict where a player will sign -- there are other components like success, fit, money that all would likely triumph the weather, but it's interesting to hear him bring it up, nonetheless.
