There’s one tradition that stays true for pretty much every sport in the world. If a pitcher pitches their first win, they keep the ball. Same thing for a quarterback who earns their first win, and the same thing can be said for a goalie in hockey. Sens tendy Filip Gustavsson earned his first W at the NHL level on Monday night and he was hoping to get that game puck back as a souvenir, but there was just one problem.

Calgary Flames defenceman Rasmus Andersson wouldn’t let it have it.

The blue-liner literally skated the puck back to Calgary’s bench with him but finally let it go after Brady Tlachuk followed him all the way. The best part was that after Andersson  finally caved and dropped the puck back on the ice, Brady’s brother Matthew just happened to be standing there and launched it over to the other end.

Fans really, really were not pleased with what happened on the ice.

Not saying we support was Andersson did but we definitely understand his frustration. No one wants to lose to the division’s last place team and make that Calgary’s third loss in their last four. A loss to Ottawa will do this to ya.

We’re just glad Gustavsson finally got his puck back.
