Sabres fans had been waiting for a reason to get excited and then Jack Eichel came along.
Unfortunately Eichel and company haven't been able to lead Buffalo to the postseason since his arrival, so it's not exactly happy times in the world of the Sabres right now.
Friday night, however, hope was once again injected into Buffalo fans everywhere as their team drafted can't-miss prospect Rasmus Dahlin with the first-overall pick. Dahlin is a huge addition for the Sabres and based on his newest Instagram picture, he's already embraced the culture in Buffalo.
One thing about sports fans in Buffalo is they stick by their teams through heartbreak and success.
Over the years, there's been a lot more heartbreak than success, but Dahlin and company are looking to change that and making the playoffs next season would be an incredible way to start the turnaround.
