This past Thursday, the unfortunate news broke that Tampa Bay Rays minor league pitcher Tyler Zombro had been struck in the head by a line drive while facing the Norfolk Tides.

On Saturday evening, the Durham Bulls took to the field for the first time since the incident after postponing their scheduled game Friday.

And the amount of love expressed by the team and fans towards Zombro was absolutely incredible.

The Bulls even posted a 4-0 shut-out in their return to play!

Though what's even better?

The recent update on Zombro is that things have taken a positive turn as he's been able to make an incredible recovery thus far.

What an awesome comeback for not only the Bulls but Tyler himself.

We’re rooting for a successful recovery for you, Tyler!
