RCMP Manitoba had to remind callers that 911 is not for renting zambonis

Wherever there’s hockey to be played, it’s important that there’s also a zamboni on hand to maintain a pristine sheet of ice out there. Here at BarDown, we get it!

But maybe it isn’t quite the kind of emergency that calls for dialing 911. Over in Manitoba, the RCMP even had to issue a reminder that the hotline is, in fact, not for renting a last-minute zamboni.

REMINDER: 911 is ONLY for emergencies.

Manitoba doesn’t play around when it comes to hockey. Respect! Maybe 911 in Manitoba should just bring on more operators so that they can handle these type of emergencies too.

But yeah, don’t be dumb with 911. We know that the RCMP in Manitoba loves their hockey, though.
