Red Wings fans are some of the best in hockey, especially outside of Canada. They are in their final season at Joe Louis Arena and despite all the history that was made in that building, we may have a new top moment.

In a hilarious video shot by WXYZ-TV reporter, Brad Galli, you can see that every time this adorable child was put on the jumbotron, the crown went crazy. However, when they switched to someone else, the whole crowed booed. It’s hilarious to watch, but also heartwarming to see how excited the kid is. We’re not sure if it was their first hockey game, but it will certainly be one to remember.

Even better, the kid ended up being awarded with the honourary first star of the game.

The Joe is clearly a very kid friendly place, so we recommend anyone who hasn’t been bring the family there in the arena’s final season.
