If a ref were to help you out while playing hockey, chances are your team got a pretty generous call that very well could've not been deemed a penalty.

But for St. Louis Blues forward Ivan Barbashev, he received a helping hand from one of the officials Saturday night's game against the Ottawa Senators after blade on his skate came loose.

Scrambling like a deer on ice, Barbashev got a little boost from one of the officials so he could make it back to the bench in one of the more hilarious clips you will see.

The best part is when Barbashev starts spinning and is forced to crawl back into the bench. The Blues went onto to defeat the Sens 3-2.

Barbashev, the Blues second-round pick (33rd overall) in 2014, has amassed six goals and six assists for 12 points in 45 games this season.

Should refs be allowed to help players like that? Let us know your thoughts in our Facebook comments or tweet us @BarDown.
