The late Ray Emery will be remembered for a lot of things. His unique demeanor both on and off the ice, his ability to make light of any situation, and the incredible saves he made between the pipes. But one passion that hockey fans might not remember about Emery was his love for the sport of boxing.

Emery donned several masks during his time in the NHL and a number of them included paintings of iconic boxers. In Ottawa, the Hamilton native rocked multiple boxing buckets featuring the likes of Muhammed Ali and Mike Tyson. With the Philadelphia Flyers, he made sure to include the city’s infamous Rocky Balboa.

Emery also rocked an unreal helmet during his time with the Chicago Blackhawks. The detail on this one in particular is simply stunning.

‘Razor’ knew how to design a helmet up right, and will forever be missed by the hockey community.
