There’s a lot of hype surrounding the Duke Blue Devils this season and rightfully so considering their freshman class consists of three five-star recruits in R.J. Barrett, Cameron Reddish and Zion Williamson.
The newest members of the Blue Devils made their debuts on Wednesday night in Mississauga against the Ryerson Rams men’s basketball team and Barrett and Williamson put on a show for fans from beginning to end. The duo threw down their own impressive dunks throughout the night, but they made sure to connect on a big one before the end of the game.
The Rams were able to keep things close in the opening half of the game, but by halftime the Blue Devils started to run away with things and stayed hot throughout the second half to put things out of reach. As for the Canadian basketball fans who showed up to catch a glimpse of the young stars, they were not disappointed in the product.
Duke’s Canadian Tour will continue on Friday night when they take on the University of Toronto in Mississauga, and will conclude Sunday afternoon in Montreal with a tilt against McGill.
