NBA mascots have learned over the years that messing around with Robin Lopez isn't the smartest idea. Well, the Charlotte Hornets found out the same thing on Friday night. The Hornets were looking to win their third straight game, while the Chicago Bulls were looking to avoid losing their second straight and fifth in six games.

After starting off the season on fire, the Bulls have been in a downward spiral as of late and the frustration is starting to show. During their game in Charlotte on Friday night, Robin Lopez went to match up with the defenders, only he aimed a little too high and took them both out at the same time.

We’re not saying that those Lopez elbows didn’t hurt, because they definitely look like they did, but both Marvin Williams and Cody Zeller definitely did a good job selling them like they were a lot worse and a lot more violent. Either way, the referee saw enough and ejected Lopez from the game.

The Hornets went on to win 103-91, dropping the Bulls below the .500 mark for the first time this season.
