Russell Westbrook is donating 4.2 million masks to medical workers in African American communities

Earlier this week, Russell Westbrook stepped up in a big way as he announced that he and his charity, the Why Not? Foundation, are teaming up with Houston mayor Sylvester Turner’s Office of Education and Comp-U-Dopt to provide 650 laptops to Houston-area students to help them with their virtual education.

That was just the beginning.

On Wednesday night, the 9-time NBA All-Star made another massive announcement, this time sharing that he’ll be donating 4.2 million (!!!) masks and other personal protective equipment to medical workers in African American communities.
