One of the hardest days for any athlete is locker clean out day. It signals the end of a season and ultimately, it means you came up short of winning it all. Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks cleaned out their lockers on Monday and did exit interviews, but just as Wilson was about to start his, it was abruptly interrupted.

The timing really couldn’t be any worse. Wilson is fresh off a season ending loss to the Green Bay Packers in the NFC divisional round. The last thing he needs is a random drug test right while he reflects back on what went wrong..

Wilson performed very well against the Packers despite playing with a banged up team missing it’s top 3 running backs. The Seahawks’ quarterback finished the game with 277 passing yards, 1 TD and 64 yards on the ground. His scrambling was instrumental in bringing the Seahawks back from a 21-3 deficit. Despite his best efforts, the Seahawks season came to an end, and this little random drug test threw a bit of salt in the wound.

Richard Sherman is one of many athletes fed up with the ‘random’ drug testing.
