There’s still a small group of football fans who believe Russell Wilson is overrated as a quarterback, but we’re guessing that small group no longer exists after what the Seattle Seahawks’ quarterback has done through the first three games of the 2020 NFL season.

In the opening game of the season, Wilson’s touchdown totals equaled his incompletions as he threw four touchdowns in the Seahawks’ victory over the Atlanta Falcons. Week 2 he followed up his season debut with a five-touchdown performance in a thrilling victory over the New England Patriots, and in Week 3 he made NFL history.

Wilson’s fifth touchdown pass of the afternoon put the Seahawks on top and led them to the eventual win over the Dallas Cowboys, but it also put his name in the record books as he becomes the first player in NFL history to throw 14 touchdown passes through their team’s first three games of the season.

The 7-time Pro Bowler is now up to 14 touchdowns and one interception through three games, and is one of just two quarterbacks in the league with 10 or more touchdown passes through three weeks.
