The Buffalo Sabres have had a less than stellar start to the 2017-18 season. They only have seven wins on the season so far and their superstar leader Jack Eichel has had a disappointing showing to this point. Luckily, their mascot, Sabretooth, is still having a phenomenal season.
With Buffalo competing in the Winter Classic this year, Sabretooth has been working extra hard to get all trained up. Despite all the effort, he was overlooked on both of TSN’s latest mascot power rankings.
The list of mascots is prestigious to say the least, and it is certainly exclusive to those that show they really want it. On Wednesday, Sabretooth responded to the power rankings stating that they were “debatable”. This was accompanied by an impressive video showing his in-arena skills.
Not only did he manage to manage to score, he nailed it dead-centre of the net.
This video has certainly left its mark and will have to be taken into serious consideration for next week’s rankings. Will it crack the top ten?
