If you play fantasy football and had your first round pick somewhere in the 5 to 7 range this year, you likely went through the process of trying to decide if promising but unproven rookie Saquon Barkley would be the first man on your squad.

He joined a New York Giants team that had a suspect offensive line, along with just a sketchy offense in general. Many wondered if he could be successful, or whether he would fall victim to circumstance.

Well, over the first six weeks those questions have been answered. The Giants offence is even worse than we thought, and Saquon is even better.

Barkley has made his living in the NFL so far by making defenders miss, whether it’s when he runs the ball or catches one of his one million check down passes so far this year. The rookie is elusive, well-balanced, and extremely hard to tackle. Not to mention lightning fast.

If you need proof of any of these qualities, look no further than these two plays from Saquon where he shows off just about everything you’d want in a feature back.

The first play he breaks a ridiculous amount of tackles, and the second he doesn’t even get touched because he’s so fast. That pretty much covers the whole spectrum.

This guy is going to be something special for a long time to come.
