The last 12 months have been good to Saquon Barkley. In his first NFL season after being selected with the second overall pick of last year's draft, the Giants rookie thrilled en route to (deep breath) 15 touchdowns, a league-high 2,028 total yards and Pro Bowl, first-team All-Pro and Offensive Rookie of the Year honors.

So, yeah, not bad for a guy who just turned 22 this week! At his birthday, the New York standout was serenaded by a couple of living legends, Jay-Z and Diddy.

We’re not sure which other artists you might put in your own dream Happy Birthday choir, but Jay and Diddy are going to show up on a lot of people’s lists. Barkley, who is signed to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Sports representation agency, is living it out in the flesh.

The Giants weren’t able to escape criticism for drafting Barkley over a quarterback given how dire their needs at that position were and still are, but with one of the league’s absolute best running backs on their team and still only 22, we don’t think New York is complaining.
