Shaquem Griffin became one of the more inspiring stories of this year’s NFL Draft after the Seattle Seahawks selected him in the fifth round despite only having one hand.

It looks like the good times will keep rolling, too, as Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll named Griffin the Week 1 starter at outside linebacker while incumbent starter K.J. Wright continues to recover from injury.

This opportunity was thoroughly an earned one, after Griffin shined in the preseason with 26 tackles — the most of any Seahawks player. His story has resonated with football fans everywhere, and the Madden 19 team included an authentic shot of Griffin in the trailer for the game.

Considering his eye-opening performance at the NFL Combine — which he nearly wasn’t even invited to — it’s safe to say that fans will be looking forward to what Griffin will have in store for when the games matter for real.
