There are a number of things hockey players do in the offseason to improve their game, but we think the most effective method of training is practicing with and against the best players in hockey.

Sidney Crosby and Nathan MacKinnon, for example, are training together this summer and during a recent on-ice session, the two dangled one another in a one-on-one drill.

You improve by going against the best players, whether it be during the regular season or in the offseason and it's just as enjoyable to watch two of the best in the NHL in MacKinnon and Crosby go head-to-head in the summer as it is during the regular season.

As you can see, both players have incredible hands and they'll both be even better in the defensive end of the ice by virtue of these one-on-one battles.  Sid and Nathan were also joined by Brad Marchand of the Bruins in Nova Scotia to train.
