Every single professional sports event that happens, there is almost always an opportunity for one lucky fan to walk away with a huge amount of money or some other prize. Sometimes the prize is all but given away, and others the prize is all but impossible to obtain. The latter makes it that much more rewarding when it actually does work out.

The 76ers had one of those rare moments of pure shock and excitement coming a fan contest when one of their fans was selected to try to make a few shots in succession to win. He had 45 seconds to hit from beneath the basket - which he did easily - and then from the free throw line, the three point line, and half court.

To make the contest even more intense, the prize included a free biscuit from an American fast food chain for everyone in the arena – so you know everyone is watching. When the first 35 seconds ticked off and the fan was still stuck at the three-point line, it looked as though the crowd was out of luck. Miraculously, the fan hit his three-pointer and then scrambled back to half court where he threw up a last second prayer.

Swish!

That’s one way to become the most popular person in the building.
