The Los Angeles Kings welcomed Snoop Dogg as a "celebrity guest of honour" to the Staples Center on Saturday night as the Kings and Penguins clashed in Hollywood.

Snoop, or "DJ Snoopadelic" was spinning the records in warm-up before dropping the ceremonial first puck with captains Anze Kopitar and Sidney Crosby.

Oh he dropped that volcanized, frozen piece of rubber as if it were still hot, didn’t he?

After the game commenced, the rapper got in his comfort zone by heading up to the broadcast booth where he joined Fox Sports West's Alex Faust and Jim Fox behind the mic, and it did not disappoint one bit.

After the Kings walked away with a 4-2 victory, Snoop was front and centre in the post-game presser and jokingly proclaimed that he believes he could have a future in analyzing the sport.

The NHL has worked with the LA-based icon in the past, as he voiced a series of promos for the league including the definitions of the proper slang of the sport.

For a full recap of Snoop's appearance for "Hockey Night in LA," the NHL put together a full highlight package on their YouTube page.

Here's hoping we see more of Snoop around the rink in the near future.
