It goes without a doubt to say that Sue Bird has had a long-lasting legacy within the WNBA and basketball as a whole, as one of the most decorated players of all time.

As the 11-time All-Star is entering her 18th WNBA season, she is currently the oldest player within the league at 40 years old.

Though within an interaction with Seattle Storm teammate Mikiah Herbert Harrigan, she was hilariously able to age herself amongst the 22-year-old and the rest of the players in the league.

When discussing how she, Diana Taurasi, LeBron James, and Tom Brady have all made similar statements by having long successful careers within sports, Bird hilariously breaks down laughing when discussing how “40 is the new 30” to share a conversation she had with Kiki.

“Her mom is my age! We have the same birthday. She’s 40 the same way I’m 40!”

She then continues to discuss the mind-blowing moment for her as she jokes about getting drinks with Kiki’s mom due to them being the same age.

Though she labelled the moment as devastating, we honestly loved it. The entire moment to us was both hilarious and honestly inspiring and just further proves her point of making statements by being long-standing athletes within their respective sports.
