When you look at the NHL standings, you’ll have to sift through quite a few teams before you reach the St. Louis Blues.

The Blues have 24 points in 28 games played, and are not performing nearly as well as they’d like to be. The Blues have been riding a wave of mediocrity over the past handful of years, and it’s starting to trend in the wrong direction. The firing of Mike Yeo hasn’t seemed to help much either, and the Blues are generally frustrated with their performance.

Star forward Vladimir Tarasenko even went so far as to apologize to the fan base that is likely just as frustrated as the team.

At least he’s taking responsibility, but the fans would like to see it on the ice. The team has been spending the last few years looking to take the next step, and they’re hoping to turn it around into a forwards step soon.
