Taylor Hall couldn’t establish himself as a winner with the Edmonton Oilers, but his success at All-Star weekend has been a different story. Since the NHL changed the event’s format to a three-on-three tournament, Hall has won both years and collected $182K in the process. TSN’s Frank Seravalli was quick to point Hall’s past success out.

Hall took notice of Seravalli’s tweet and responded with a clever one of his own. The 26-year-old quieted his haters by reminding them that he is in fact a winner.

Hall could only watch the Oilers cruise to the playoffs and the Devils miss out last season, but this year has told a different story. Edmonton has struggled to win games and sit well outside of a playoff spot while New Jersey has been one of the better (and surprising) teams in the league.

Hall is the only player representing the Devils in the tournament and will attempt to lead the Metropolitan Divisision to its second tournament win in as many years. Last year’s victory ironically came against Edmonton’s Pacific Division with a 4-3 win. The Calgary native will look to continue his winning ways in the tournament and prove he is in fact a winner to the Oilers’ faithful when the festivities take place on January 28th.
