So far, the high-point of the 2018 Winter Olympics for Canadians seems to be the incredible performance put on by Scott Moir and Tessa Virtue in their ice dance/free skate competition.

The pair attracted attention from people around the world after their performance, but one that hit closer to home was Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds reaching out with a bizarre request. After congratulating Cassie Sharpe on her medal, Reynolds went on to thank Tessa and Scott for agreeing to raise his children.

The pair went on Jay and Dan to confirm that Reynolds had not discussed this with them beforehand, but Virtue finally sent a response to Reynolds on Twitter.

This plan seems all well and good for these three and their fellow Canadians, but the mother of these Children might have something to say about this. We don’t think it matters that Blake Lively would care that they are Canadian (Because everyone appreciated that performance), but we’re still pretty sure this isn’t going to fly.

Not happy at all... ☺️
