We’re in the dog days of the NHL offseason and players are starting to get back in to hockey shape. Luckily for some, they don’t even have to leave their home to do that.

With the amount of money and technology available today, players have started adding their own training facilities in their homes. Whether it’s synthetic ice, stick handling gadgets, garage goalies or just an area for stick handling, it all helps players relax and get some training in. Some players set ups are better than others, offering soothing views and totally embedding them in the middle of nature.

Here are six of the best set ups we’ve seen from around the NHL:

Aleksander Barkov

Aaron Ekblad

Matt Duchene

Jonathan Toews

Nathan Gerbe

The Marleaus

This is a bonus set of photos from Christina Marleau - one from the Marleau's Toronto home (The one during play) and one from their San Jose home (The one with Matthews' new beard). This might be a more unusual training, but mini-sticks will always keep you fresh.
