Ain't mini-sticks just the freakin' best?!

The game has been played for years and every one who fancies it should know there are certain unwritten rules that make the game flow. If you don't understand them by now or have never played and are looking to give it a shot for the first time, here's what you should know:

1) KEEP STICKS BELOW THE CROSS-BAR

Keep them even lower if you can. Safety is the number one priority and no ones wants to see a facial injury, especially to the eyes.

2) KEEP SHOTS BELOW THE CROSS-BAR

Same goes for shots, try to keep them below the bar. A ball can sometimes do as much damage as a stick.

3) YOU SHOOT IT OUT, YOU GET IT

If you shoot the ball out of play, you have to be the one to get it. It doesn't matter how long it takes, you find that ball.

4) GOALIES: DON'T LIE DOWN!!!!

There won't be any goals otherwise!!!! Play the game right between the pipes and give your opponent a chance to score.

5) KEEP YOUR HANDS ON THE STICK WHEN YOU HAVE THE BALL

You can't use your hand on the ground to help you cradle or shoot. keep both mitts on the blade and fire away, baby!

6) NO BODY-CONTACT

Remember, this is NOT ice hockey. There's no equipment so keep those shoulders to yourself. Mom and dad will be mad if they find blood on the carpets!

7) WINNER STAYS ON

If there's more than two of you and you win, you get to play the next game. As for your opponent... well, be better buddy.
