The outdoor hockey game season is now in full swing.

Last Friday, Team Canada and Team USA got things started in the first-ever outdoor World Juniors Championship, and while the players on the ice put on quite a show, it was the setting itself that was the biggest spectacle on the day. Tens of thousands of rabid hockey fans flocked to New Era Field in Buffalo, braving frigid temperatures and enough snow to even have a Canadian go, "yeah, that's kind of a lot of snow."

Monday, it was time for NHLers to take things outdoor in New York state, with the Sabres and the Rangers suiting up for the 2018 Winter Classic. The Rangers were victorious once again, earning their fourth win in as many Winter Classics. Here are seven of our favourite images from the game at Citi Field in snowy New York, New York.
