The Atlanta Gladiators wiener dog race is just as incredible as you would hope it to be

If you ask Canadian what their two favourite things in the world are, lots would say hockey and dogs. The two beloved options are hard to dislike, and they will often be at or near the top of those lists – so why not combine them?

This didn’t actually happen in Canada. The Atlanta Gladiators – the ECHL affiliate of the Boston Bruins – held what is easily one of the greatest promotion nights in existence. A wiener dog race.

It’s the 2nd time the gladiators have done this, and the results were nothing short of thrilling. With one dog leading the race and seemingly on the way to victory, another comes from behind to take the victory! Talk about wiener dog drama…

Honestly, every team should do this. Every night. Who could say no to these adorable little runners? Here’s a look at last year’s winner, Weagle!
