A Canadian is set to participate in this year’s WNBA All-Star game.

On Thursday afternoon, the WNBA revealed Kia Nurse will be one of the ten starters when action kicks off in Vegas on July 27. Nurse is set to start at guard and will be picked by one of two captains; Elena Delle Donne of the Washington Mystics or A’ja Wilson from the Las Vegas Aces. Nurse, along with the other selections, was selected by the fans, media and players.

Nurse has taken a huge step in her second season, increasing her numbers to 16 points and 2.1 assists per game with the New York Liberty from 9.1 and 1.6 in her rookie campaign respectively. Basketball fans couldn’t be more pumped to see her earn a ticket to one of the league’s biggest events.

We’re looking forward to seeing what Nurse has up her sleeve when action kicks off in a few week’s time. Congratulations Kia, and way to do Canada proud!
