What an afternoon by the Toronto Blue Jays. It was another offensive explosion by the Jays as they put up 18 runs and 20 hits against the Boston Red Sox in Fenway Park. It wasn’t just an 18 run outing. The Blue Jays launched 8 home runs out of Fenway Park, and it turns out that’s the most home runs in Fenway ever by the visiting team.

Teoscar Hernandez hit 2 homers, while Guerrero Jr, Gurriel Jr, Semien, Bichette, Biggio and Tellez all added a dinger of their own. Of course, you don’t see a team hit 8 home runs very often, and in the Blue Jays franchise, it’s the most they’ve hit in a game since 2010.

On August 7th, 2010, the Blue Jays also put up 8 home runs. Two by J.P. Arencibia, two by Aaron Hill, and Lyle Overbay, Jose Bautista, Edwin Encarnacion and Adam Lind all added one.

Going back to the 2021 Blue Jays, they’re no stranger to knocking baseballs out of the park. So far this season they've already had four games in which they’ve hit five or more home runs. It’s only the middle of June and they’re already closing in on a franchise record.

The Blue Jays put up five home runs yesterday and now followed it up with eight more against the Red Sox. And all of this offense is coming without George Springer in the line-up.

These Blue Jays can hit, and don’t be surprised to see them break more records as the season continues. Again, we’re only half-way through June.
