You know what they say, look good, feel good, play good, right? NHL players are the epitome of that sentiment with everyone in the league always dressed in top quality suits when they pull up to the rink. That limitation hasn’t stopped guys like Auston Matthews from adding a little flair to his pre-game style though.

The debate of loosening up the dress code in the NHL has been going on for years now, as many fans and players have discussed their interest in reflecting their personality and style like players in the NBA and NFL.

We recently talked about it with the recent decision by the Canucks to ditch formal attire before games.

The Bruins gave us a taste of what that could look like in the NHL before their game at Lake Tahoe tonight. The team pulled up in full 80s/90s ski gear and it looked incredible to see the whole squad dressed up before the game.
