Antonio Brown could be on the verge of a NFL return, which could reunite him with Tom Brady — and Brady has been pushing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to sign Brown, per reports.

Brown will visit the team in Tampa Bay, with the two sides “very close” to a deal according to Ian Rapoport.

Brown has been out of the NFL since a tumultuous 2019 season where he was cut by the Oakland Raiders before ever playing a game with the team, and then cut by the New England Patriots after just one appearance. At the time of his Patriots release, the league was investigating accusations of sexual assault made against Brown.

The Buccaneers have surrounded Brady with tons of talent and it sounds like he wants to add another talented receiver with whom he already has a rapport to that mix. The Bucs aren’t the only team with interest in Brown at the moment however, as Adam Schefter reports that he is also in discussions with the Seattle Seahawks.
