The Edmonton sports community lost a legend in October when Joey Moss passed away at the age of 57. Moss lived with Down Syndrome, but he didn’t let that interfere with his life too much as he quickly became a fan (and team) favourite for both the Oilers and the Edmonton Football Team as a dressing room attendant.

Since his passing, we’ve seen tributes flow out in all different forms. On Wednesday, the tributes hit the ice as the Oilers came out on the ice for pregame warmup wearing Joey Moss nameplates.

It's clear that Moss made a lasting effect on the Oilers. The team also features a sticker on their helmet, and goaltender Mike Smith even had it detailed right onto the backplate of his mask.

Rest in peace, Joey. We miss you!
