The Philadelphia Flyers love when Kevin Hayes scores.

Well… okay… alright, that’s obvious. Let’s try this again.

The Philadelphia Flyers love when Kevin Hayes scores more than any other player. That may be a bit of a stretch, but their nearly unblemished record would back the statement.

Incredibly, the Flyers have not lost a game in regulation when Kevin Hayes scores. This isn’t some stay-at-home defenceman that only scores one goal and it happens to be in a win. This is a guy that scored 23 goals in 23 different games last season.

Add on two more goals in two more games this year. According to Flyers writer Jamey Baskow, the Flyers record in games where Hayes scores is PRETTY darn good.

24-0-1! Honestly, who tracks these things?!

While scoring goals leads to wins, this is still a pretty crazy stat. It’s not like we’re saying every time he scores a hat trick they win. Nope, in fact he hasn’t even had a multi-goal game with the Flyers.

While the logical side of us wants to attribute this to nothing more than coincidence, there’s a piece of us that hopes it’s some kind of metaphysical power turning Kevin Hayes Gs into Philadelphia Flyers Ws. Don’t ruin this for us.
