The Philadelphia Flyers were delivered devastating news a couple weeks ago when they learned that forward Oskar Lindblom had been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. It marks one of those sobering moments that is clearly bigger than hockey, and affects the whole league, it’s players, and the fans.

It didn’t take long for the outpouring of support, both for Lindblom and the Flyers players dealing with the news. “Oskar Strong” is the moniker associated with Lindblom’s diagnosis, and the Flyers players decided to pay tribute in a special way.

The t-shirts are also available for purchase from BiscuitTees, and each purchase contributes to the NHL’s “Hockey Fights Cancer” initiative.

If you would like to purchase, the link is here. As of Thursday evening, the t-shirts had raised over $50,000.
