We understand everyone is focused on John Tavares and where he’s going to end up in the next couple of days, but we’re busy dreaming about potential alternate jerseys.

A couple of teams revealed their jerseys on draft night (One of them is going to be tough to top) and we’re sure they’ll continue to trickle out as the offseason hums along. One thing we didn’t expect is for a team to totally bury their jersey reveal like the Philadelphia Flyers did. In an Instagram post about their schedule, they made a sliding carousel post with the fourth one being a snapshot of the jersey.

You can’t even see the full thing which is a little annoying, but it atleast tells us that they’re going back to the black jerseys.

They wore a similar looking jersey in the 2017 Stadium Series game, so it really isn’t much of a change. They weren’t very specific about when it would be worn, but the black jerseys do appear to be making a comeback.

If they stick with the exact same style, here’s a look at what the full sweater looks like:

So far, this has to be our least favourite alternate.
