There have been some epic photos taken so far in the 2018-19 season, but fans will probably agree that the funniest one took place in last night Sabres vs. Stars game at American Airlines Center.

Backup goaltender Anton Khudobin appeared to have the best seat in the house last night as he was situated almost directly between the two benches. His spot also landed him square in between a bit of jawing from the two bench. The Russian was in the middle of what looked to be a heated exchange between superstars Jamie Benn and Jeff Skinner and was caught simply enjoying the action. You can’t make this stuff up...

Take it all in Anton, take it in!

Khudobin’s photo is arguably at the top, but a couple of others also make a case. Take this one from a few weeks ago between the Caps and Bruins for example, when Alex Ovechkin sent 6’9 Zdeno Chara flying into Washington’s bench!

On the topic of hits, a pretty remarkable photo was captured between the Preds and Habs on January 5th when 6’4 defender Shea Weber sent 5’6 Rocco Grimaldi into another dimension along the boards. Grimaldi made sure to poke a little fun at himself in the process.

The season is young but you can count on this one being in the conversation of best photos when it comes to a conclusion. We’re sure this wasn’t the first time he was caught in the middle of something like this either!
