Earlier this week, Tomas Plekanec played in his 1000th career game.  Fittingly, the 35-year-old played that game in Montreal and scored in a 7-3 win against Detroit.

On Wednesday night, the team honoured Plekanec before their game against the Blues for the incredible accomplishment of playing in 1000 games in the NHL and one thing stood out from the pre-game ceremony, turtlenecks.

Aside from playing in over 1000 games and having a solid NHL career in the stats department, Plekanec is best known for his turtleneck.

As a way of honouring Plekanec, team owner Geoff Molson and GM Marc Bergevin both rocked turtlenecks for the ceremony and it was awesome to see.

Molson and Bergevin made the moment that much better by wearing turtlenecks and the Habs went on to win their third-straight game by beating the Blues 3-2.
