There were 6 games on Sunday in the NHL, but there were a number of noteworthy things that came out of those games.

In Detroit, the Colorado Avalanche beat the Red Wings 2-0 to extend their streak of games with a point to 11, but the thing the hockey world will be talking about from that game on Monday is what Tyler Bertuzzi did.

Matt Calvert of the Avalanche was hit near the Red Wings' bench and as he was skating away, a Detroit played held his stick.  Calvert tried to yank his stick loose and things escalated quickly, which led to Bertuzzi punching an unsuspecting Calvert.

From the slow-mo replay, you can see Bertuzzi's bare hand before he delivers the punch while Calvert is being held down.
Bertuzzi wasn't given a penalty on the play, but one can only imagine Player Safety will take a long look at that incident as there was quite a bit of outrage over it from the hockey world both for the punch and for what some called a spear by Calvert.
