Over 200 female hockey players, including Marie-Philip Poulin, Hilary Knight, Brianne Jenner and Kendall Coyne Schofield, have banded together call for an overhaul of women’s professional hockey and on Tuesday, this statement was released.

Unless something changes, the statement could mean that there will be no high-level women's hockey league in 2019/20 as the players try and create a new future for professional women's hockey.
Once the statement was released, the hockey world responded with a ton of support on social media.
