Who would have thought a month ago that the Carolina Hurricanes would be in the Conference Final for the first time since they made the playoffs last in 2008/09?  That season, the Hurricanes got swept by the Penguins in the Conference Final, but this year there's a different vibe around this "Bunch Of Jerks."

Last Friday, Carolina finished off the sweep of the Islanders to become the first of the remaining teams to advance past the second round and they're embracing their status as "front runners."

The Hurricanes aren't backing down from any comments or criticism against them and their fans, nor should they.  Carolina battled to get into a wild card spot and endeared themselves to hockey fans across the world with their "Storm Surge," as well as wins.

All of the outside noise only fuels the Hurricanes and their fans, and you can bet they'll be ready for either Columbus or Boston.
