Senegal became the first African team to win in this year’s World Cup with a 2-1 upset win over Poland on Tuesday, and as a result, they’ve entered an unlikely tie for the group lead with Japan. For fans of the Lions of Teranga, it’s a pretty neat time.

Nobody was more hyped throughout than Senegal manager Aliou Cissé, however. His strangely mesmerizing reaction to a moment in the game had the Internet losing it.

We have so many questions. Was Cissé looking into the camera on purpose? Did he know he was on camera at that exact moment? And... why? This is something fresh out of Wolf of Wall Street.

Senegal has a chance to take ownership of pole position in their group when they play Japan, so with any luck, we’ll see even more of the fire from Cissé.

They probably also owe some thanks to the referee that allowed Mbaye Niang to return to the field after being treated for injury—the timing was just right for Niang to sneak in behind the defense and net an easy goal. Just like coming out of the penalty box to score a breakaway goal, eh?
